This project features a 67-meter single-span bridge composed of 22 standard truss sections, adopting classic C3DDR D-type structural form to enhance overall structural rigidity and load-bearing performance. Equipped with a matched 200-type nose girder, the nose girder surface is treated with high-quality alkyd paint, which provides excellent anti-rust, anti-corrosion and weather resistance, adapting to Liberia’s tropical high-temperature and humid rainy climate, effectively resisting daily wind and rain erosion and extending the service life of auxiliary structural parts.
In terms of traffic and deck design, the bridge is configured with a 4.2-meter single-lane main traffic lane, equipped with standard anti-collision guardrails on both sides to ensure safe passage of local engineering vehicles, daily transport vehicles and light-duty cargo vehicles. Meanwhile, a 1.05-meter external hanging pedestrian walkway is specially added, realizing the separated passage of vehicles and pedestrians, greatly improving the safety and practicality of rural road crossing facilities. Professional Adaptation Design for Abutment Terrain Conditions
Aiming at the actual terrain constraints of the project site, our technical team has completed targeted abutment optimization and width adjustment design. The original abutment width is 6 meters, and the overall width is expanded to 6.5 meters through 28-standard-section widening construction, which effectively solves the problem of narrow foundation of local riverbank abutment, optimizes the stress distribution of the bridge foundation, and improves the overall stability of the bridge body. In view of the 1.18-meter height difference of the on-site abutment, we adopted customized slope adjustment and structural leveling technology during the design stage, ensuring seamless docking between the bridge body and the access road, avoiding traffic obstacles caused by terrain height difference, and guaranteeing smooth and stable vehicle and pedestrian passage.
